The Serie A weekend kicks off on Friday night with two games on the schedule. The second of those games is the one to feature here, with Cagliari hosting Juventus. The home side have moved nicely away from the relegation zone in recent weeks, but there is more work to do as we head into the final six games of the season.
Cagliari Form GuideAs we head into the weekend, Cagliari have built up a four point cushion over Frosinone, the best placed of the three teams in the relegation zone. They've done so thanks to a run of three games unbeaten, and just one lost from their last five, putting key points on the board at a vital time.
They come here on the back of a draw last weekend, when they too a point from runaway league leaders Inter Milan in a 2-2 tie away from home. They've beaten Atalanta, currently in the top six, and also drawn with Verona, so while it's been a good run of five points from three games, it's also come against some very tough opponents.
Juventus Form GuideAfter their collapse and fall out of the title race, it does appear that Juventus are very slowly getting back on track, although I still think they have plenty to do. They come here with just one defeat from their last five, which is good, but also have just one win from their last five too, as three games have ended in a draw.
That's the result they recorded last time out, with a 0-0 tie away from home against Torino last weekend. Before that, they narrowly won 1-0 at home to Fiorentina, but lost 1-0 away to Lazio a week earlier. Six games are left, they'll want to finish the season with pride, and wrap up a top four spot.
Match PredictionWhile I think Juventus are making small steps forward, I'm not sure it will be enough to win this game, against a Cagliari side who are battling well right now. I will take Cagliari on the double chance market, covering them to win this game or the game to end in a draw.
