League One is back to full strength on Saturday, and Peterborough, one of the promotion contenders this season, are back in action as they take on Burton Albion. I've seen both teams play live this season, and it is fair to say that they left very different impressions on me in those games, something I've not forgotten.
Peterborough Form GuideFrom the sides I've seen in person this season, Peterborough have been the best, they hit a rough patch after I watched them, but are now coming back strong and challenging for promotion. In 5th, they've got a playoff spot and looking ahead, they are only four points off the automatic promotion spots and five points off leaders Portsmouth.
From their last four league games, Peterborough have three wins, and the most recent of those was a big 5-0 success at home to Cambridge. Elsewhere, they've beaten Blackpool and Port Vale, while the one league defeat they suffered during that time was a 2-1 loss away at Wigan.
Burton Albion Form GuideJust as Peterborough were the best side I've seen live this season, I think Burton Albion are in a battle with Shrewsbury to be the worst. They offered nothing going forward, seemingly settling for a 0-0 draw from kick off, and even when falling behind, failed to really show any kind of intent.
I'm not sure how they are going to cope with the abilities of Peterborough on the ball, and fear for them a little here. Albion are in 13th heading into the weekend, but have failed to win any of their last three league games. They've played four cup games in recent weeks, winning just once, against lower league Mansfield.
Match PredictionI think this is going to be quite a one-sided game on Saturday, with Peterborough dominating proceedings and coming out comfortable winners in the end. They've got a lot of attacking quality, and will have too much for Burton Albion to cope with here.
