Burnley are continuing their push to win the Championship, but things have not been as good recently and this weekend they host relegation troubled Huddersfield at Turf Moor.
Burnley Form GuideBurnley are top of the league, and still clear of the pack. They have 73 points, which puts them 12 clear of Sheffield United in second place and 16 clear of Middlesbrough in third place. It would take a huge dip for Burnley to not be automatically promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
However, in recent games, Burnley have stumbled and recorded two draws from their last three, with a win in between them. They drew against Millwall 1-1 in midweek, while their other draw was two weeks ago against Watford. In the middle, they went away to Luton, currently in the playoffs, and won 1-0, a very good result and more like the Burnley we know.
Huddersfield Form GuideFrom making the playoffs last season to potential relegation this season, things are tough right now for Huddersfield. They are in 22nd position, in the relegation zone and four points away from safety. Former boss Neil Warnock is back to try and keep them up, and he has aided them to turn a slight corner, but there is far more work to do.
Last weekend, Huddersfield did manage to pick up a huge three points, beating Birmingham 2-1, a team who are also around the relegation zone. Prior to that, Huddersfield played two away games, losing them both, 3-0 at Stoke and 1-0 at Wigan.
Match PredictionThis game looks to be the ideal opportunity for Burnley to get back to winning ways. Huddersfield did win last weekend, but that was against a poor Birmingham side, and this looks set to be a step too far. We expect this to be a comfortable victory for Burnley, adding more troubles to Huddersfield.
