The Premier League returns this weekend with a full slate of fixtures as we prepare to enter the month of March. There’s a lot of excitement and tension in the air at both ends of the table and with so much on the line, there are plenty of reasons to feel hyped about what’s ahead. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be an intriguing clash between Burnley and Bournemouth.
Burnley Form GuideWe’re at the point now where it’s okay for Burnley fans to start panicking. The Clarets enjoyed a really strong run in the Championship but unfortunately for their loyal fanbase, they haven’t been able to make a smooth transition back into the top flight. Vincent Kompany will continue to fight, but it’s easy to understand why there’s so much uncertainty surrounding the club.
Burnley went on the road to face Crystal Palace last weekend and unfortunately for them, they really did fall apart. They went down to ten men, and from there, the Eagles began to soar as they cruised their way to a 3-0 win over the Clarets.
Bournemouth Form GuideBournemouth enjoyed a purple patch a while back and many felt as if they were destined to push on to bigger and better things. In recent weeks, though, they’ve fallen back a bit, to the point where a relegation battle isn’t off the cards. Hopefully, over the course of the next few games, they’re able to showcase something that can give fans a bit more optimism.
Bournemouth’s form may not be great at the moment, but they still looked more than capable in a really entertaining encounter with Manchester City. Alas, the reigning champions proved why they’re one of the best teams in world football, edging out a nice 1-0 win.
Match PredictionWe’re of the belief that Burnley and Bournemouth both have a lot more in the tank than what they’re showing recently, but for whatever reason, they just can’t seem to get out of a rut. In terms of an official prediction for this game, we’re going to shoot for a draw.
