The first international break of the season is over and now, it’s time to get back to business as the English Premier League returns for a brand new slate of fixtures across September. There’s still a lot we don’t know about all 20 clubs in the top flight but we’ll get some more answers this weekend, as we get set to see Manchester United lock horns with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Manchester United Form GuideManchester United supporters probably felt as if their League Cup win last season was a sign that times were changing for the better - but it seems as if there are more than a few hurdles they still have to overcome. The fans aren’t happy with the owners, there are numerous scandals off the pitch, and Erik ten Hag has more pressure on his shoulders than ever before.
It’s been one step forward, one step back for United so far this season and in many ways, they’re lucky that they haven’t wound up losing all four of their games. They were fortunate to beat Wolves and Nottingham Forest but on two trips to North London, they came away with nothing in losses to Tottenham and Arsenal.
Brighton Form GuideBrighton & Hove Albion are one of the most exciting teams to watch in England, and we’d actually argue that it extends to all of Europe. The Seagulls have long since been viewed as a club on the rise and for good reason. They have great scouting, a manager they can believe in, and a set of players who are carving out tremendous performances every single week.
Brighton tore through Luton and Wolves to open the campaign, beating both 4-1. They were then stunned by West Ham in a 3-1 home defeat but against Newcastle, they got back to winning ways with a tidy 3-1 win.
Match PredictionVery few teams will come to Old Trafford and see it as an intimidating place to play these days, and rightfully so. Brighton know exactly what they are capable of achieving on the big stage and we believe they’re going to shine in an exciting performance that ends with over 2.5 goals scored.
