The Premier League is back with a full slate of exciting midweek fixtures for fans to sink their teeth into over the course of the next few days. As we enter the month of April, it’s clear to see that we’re getting into the nitty-gritty of the campaign with teams at both ends of the table still having a lot left to fight for. Today, we’ll take a look at the upcoming clash between Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion.

As a club, they’re still being run very well, and they aren’t in any immediate danger when it comes to the relegation battle. At the same time, it only takes one bad run of form to lead you down the wrong path, and the Bees have shown some real weaknesses lately.
Following on from a memorable 2-2 draw with Chelsea, Brentford suffered consecutive defeats at the hands of Arsenal and Burnley. They did, however, play host to Manchester United last week, and they scored deep into injury time to secure a 1-1 draw - and many feel as if they were good enough to have won it.
Brighton Form GuideFor Brighton & Hove Albion, any hope of silverware this season has come and gone - but that doesn’t mean their season is over. The fight is on to keep European football coming in on the south coast and even though this season has been trickier than the last, they still have the quality necessary to make some real waves between now and the end of May.
After losses to Wolves, Fulham and Roma, Brighton bounced back with a win over Nottingham Forest and a 1-0 victory over Roma in the second leg. In their last outing away to Liverpool, they put up one hell of a fight, but ultimately fell short in a 2-1 defeat.
Match PredictionSomething tells us this is going to be a pretty tentative affair between two sides that need an injection of life. Brentford have the ability to frustrate teams at home, whereas Brighton need to work hard to turn their season around. In our view, the most likely outcome here is under 2.5 goals scored.
