The Premier League returns for another weekend full of stacked top flight action as we gear up for the final few months of the campaign. It’s pretty clear at this point what everyone is aiming for from top to bottom, but there are still plenty of twists and turns awaiting us on that journey. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun encounter between Arsenal and Brentford.
Arsenal Form GuideWhile Arsenal are certainly still considered one of the favourites for the title, they have a lot of work to do if they want to consistently keep up with Liverpool and Manchester City. It’s certainly not impossible, and they’ve definitely got the players necessary to do it, but the Gunners have been known to drop the ball in the past - and their fans will be eager to avoid that fate this time around.
Arsenal knew they needed to make a statement on their trip to battle Sheffield United, and that’s exactly what they did. They ran rampant in a 6-0 victory, and in many ways, they let the hosts off the hook by not pushing for more.
Brentford Form GuideFor the first time since being promoted to the Premier League, it does feel as if there’s a bit of panic in the air at Brentford. As a club, they’re still being run very well, and they aren’t in any immediate danger when it comes to the relegation battle. At the same time, it only takes one bad run of form to lead you down the wrong path, and the Bees have shown some real weaknesses lately.
After coming from behind to take a 2-1 lead at home to Chelsea, Brentford fans thought they were on their way to a massive win. Instead, though, a late Disasi equaliser means they’ll be left to wonder what could’ve been.
Match PredictionBrentford blow hot and cold these days and in a game like this, they need to be focused from the first whistle if they’re going to come away with anything of note. Alas, we’re not convinced it’s on the cards for them this week, which is why we’re predicting an Arsenal win.
