The Premier League returns this weekend following the international break as we continue with the run-in toward the end of the campaign. There’s still plenty left to fight for at both ends of the table, and it feels like we’re going to get a few more answers over the course of the next few days. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be an intriguing clash between Bournemouth and Everton.
Bournemouth Form GuideBournemouth enjoyed a purple patch a while back and many felt as if they were destined to push on to bigger and better things. In recent weeks, though, they’ve fallen back a bit, to the point where a relegation battle isn’t off the cards. Hopefully, over the course of the next few games, they’re able to showcase something that can give fans a bit more optimism.
After losing to Manchester City and Leicester, Bournemouth bounced back with a 2-0 win away to Burnley. They did drop points in a 2-2 loss against Sheffield United, but after going 3-0 down to Luton, they bounced back in incredible fashion by registering a stunning 4-3 victory.
Everton Form GuideEverton manager Sean Dyche isn’t the kind of guy to let his team go quietly into the night. With that in mind, and with their legal situation still ongoing with the Premier League, we’d argue that the club feeling ‘slighted’ could really help them in the months that lie ahead. There’s no guarantee of survival in a division like this one, but we still think they’re on the right track.
Across their last six games, Everton have failed to register a victory. They have managed to pick up a point in draws with Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Brighton, but in equal measure, they’ve also been beaten by Manchester City, West Ham and Manchester United.
Match PredictionIt’ll be interesting to see how both teams approach this one because Bournemouth, as we know, are in a far better position than Everton at this moment in time. Despite that, the Toffees are bound to be dangerous given their relegation worries - with our prediction for the game being a draw.
