We’re in the endgame now, ladies and gentlemen. The Premier League season is entering the final furlong with just a handful of games remaining for clubs up and down English football’s top tier. Whether it be the title race, the relegation battle or anything in between, there’s still a lot left to be determined. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming clash between Arsenal and Bournemouth.
Arsenal Form GuideArsenal fans have been in this position before - a few games left to go and they’re chasing Manchester City. It’s an unenviable spot to be in and yet, Mikel Arteta seems to be as committed as ever to the idea that he can secure a first league championship in 20 years for the club. At this point, all they can do is focus on their own fate, and hope for help elsewhere.
After losing key games to Aston Villa and Bayern Munich, Arsenal needed to get back on the winning trail, and that’s exactly what they’ve done. They have dusted themselves off and continued to put pressure on the leaders courtesy of wins over Wolves, Chelsea and Tottenham.
Bournemouth Form GuideBournemouth have managed to register their best ever points total in the Premier League and there are still a handful of games remaining for them to try and add to that total. The Cherries know that the future could look very bright for them if they get things right in the summer, but for the time being, they’ll be focusing their energy on finishing the season as strongly as possible.
Following on from a win over Crystal Palace, Bournemouth suffered defeats to Aston Villa and Luton - but they did manage a 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United. Since then, they’ve put together two really nice wins as they beat Wolves 1-0 and dominated Brighton 3-0.
Match PredictionBournemouth have been playing some incredible football in recent weeks and there’s no reason whatsoever for them to fear a trip to the Emirates. This is going to be a really intriguing encounter but, by the skin of their teeth, we believe Arsenal are going to pick up the win.
