They take each other on here, with Atalanta the hosts, and an absolutely huge three points at stake, with 12 games to go in the season.
Atalanta Form GuideFor most of the season, Atalanta have been going along nicely, but they have hit a small bump in the road over the past couple of weeks, and they need to bounce back from that. Currently 5th, but just two points behind Bologna, a win here would take them over the top of them and into 4th.
But as I said, it's now no win in two. The most recent, a massive loss against the league leaders Inter Milan, where Atalanta were completely outclassed and lost 4-0. Before that, Atalanta got a point in an away game against 3rd placed AC Milan, this is the third game in what is a very tough run for them.
Bologna Form GuideWhile Atalanta have had some tough games and not managed a win, Bologna are the team that has taken advantage. They have moved ahead into 4th, and that is thanks to a great run of winning five games in a row, which covered the entire month of February.
The most recent of those was a 2-0 home win over Verona last weekend, before that, they won 2-1 away at Lazio and 2-0 at home to Fiorentina, both good sides in the top half. Wins over Lecce and Sassuolo rounded off their five game run, something they'd love to continue here.
Match PredictionAtalanta have had a tough run, but with just one point from their last two games, it's opened the door and Bologna have taken advantage. I think the away side can do more damage here too. I'm backing high flying Bologna on the double chance market, covering them to win the game or draw, I think they can get something from this big clash.
