Five games take place in Serie A on Sunday, a good book of fixtures. In this one, Frosinone are the home side, a team trying their best to not get sucked into the relegation zone, but they're edging closer, and they take on Roma, a team in 6th and aiming for higher, three points here would certainly help them.
Frosinone Form GuideAfter a really good first quarter of the season, Frosinone have been steadily dropping down the standings. They are in 14th with 23 points as we head into the weekend, that is ok for now, but they are just four points clear of the relegation zone, so a bad run could see them getting dragged into a battle for the final part of the season.
But they are not in great form at the moment, they come here three games without a win, and have lost their last two. Last weekend, they were heavily beaten 5-1 against Fiorentina, and before that, they lost 3-2 against AC Milan. That's eight goals conceded in two games, a big worry, and something that needs to improve.
Roma Form GuideThe top six will be the minimum aim for Roma this season, and as we head into this weekend, they are in 6th place, so will be happy. But they'll be looking ahead and wanting more, they are four points off both Bologna in 5th and Atalanta in 4th, so not too far away.
They lost their last game, but it was a game against the league leaders Inter Milan, a game they lost 4-2. They won three in a row before that, all teams near the bottom like Frosinone are, they won against Cagliari, Salernitana and Verona, all of which I believe are a similar standard to what Roma will face here.
Match PredictionPoints are up for grabs here, and key to both the top and bottom of the table, and it's the team at the top that I am backing. Roma lost last weekend, but were in good form before then, and this game gives them the ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways, and edge Frosinone closer to being in trouble.
