With a strong fanbase and an ability to mix it up with the big boys when called upon, Antalyaspor have done well to establish themselves as a team to watch in Turkey’s top flight. They can be conservative or they can be explosive depending on their mood, but either way, they’re going to scratch and claw for every point they can get at this level.

Istanbulspor, one of the smaller clubs to stem from the city (despite their 1932 title win), did well to finish in 12th place last season. They’re historically known as a popular club in Istanbul behind the likes of Besiktas, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, but based on the evidence we’ve seen this season, they’re in real trouble, and the threat of relegation looms large.
While Istanbulspor were always going to be the underdogs against Gaziantep, it didn’t help that they went down to ten men, eventually succumbing to a 3-1 defeat.
Match Prediction
Neither of these teams are particularly thrilling to watch right now and while Istanbulspor may be struggling more so than Antalyaspor, that doesn’t necessarily mean that trend will continue. Either way, we believe the most likely outcome here is under 2.5 goals scored.
