Kayserispor vs Ankaragucu Prediction (24.02.2024)

The Turkish Super Lig is back with another round of action this week as we get ready for some fascinating fixtures. As we continue through the second half of the campaign, more and more clubs are getting a clearer picture of what their true objectives are in the months ahead. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be an intriguing clash between Kayserispor and Ankaragucu.

Kayserispor have been threatening to break out and become a big force of nature for quite some time now, and this season, things have really been clicking into place. They aren’t quite in the title picture or anything like that but they are firmly in the race to qualify for Europe, and that’s a big deal for a club like this. Hopefully, for their sake, they can keep the train rolling.

Sometimes, you have to put your best foot forward and just go for it - which is exactly what Kayserispor did in their visit to take on Istanbul Basaksehir. The two went toe to toe and exchanged some real blows, with Kayserispor coming away with a huge 3-2 win.

Ankaragucu, originating from the namesake city, are a multi-sport club that operate in many different fields away from football. On the pitch, though, they’re currently seen as a midtable Super Lig side, which isn’t a bad place to be in. You obviously can’t afford to relax too much at this level but in equal measure, you have to praise their consistency in recent times.

Ankaragucu were always going to have a tough time at home to Galatasaray and while they had their moments, they were ultimately shut down fairly emphatically. The title favourites put their foot on the gas and in the end, they walked away with a 3-0 victory.

Kayseripsor and Ankaragucu are pretty similar in quite a few departments, and we’re interested to see how that manifests in this game. We expect them both to be cautious in their approach and build-up play, and in terms of a prediction, we’re going to shoot for a draw.
