The top four battle in Italy continues, and with Bologna playing on Friday night this week, before everyone else, they have a chance to put down a marker. They visit Torino for this clash, the first Serie A game of the weekend, and with a win, would leap frog over Juventus and go into third place in the standings.
Torino Form GuideTorino are in the middle of table, and have little to play for other than pride as they head into the final four games of the season. With 46 points on the board they are currently in 10th, and will be looking to accumulate a few more points and keep hold of their place inside the top half, just.
But they come here on the back of a run that has seen them fail to win any of their last four games. Two draws and two defeats, with the most recent of those being a 2-0 defeat away from home against the newly crowned champions Inter Milan. Empoli have also beaten them during this run, while they've drawn with Juventus and Frosinone.
Bologna Form GuideBologna are right in the mix for a top four spot, they're continuing to play well, and have it in their hands, with a four point cushion over Roma, who are in 5th and trying to chase. Ahead of them, they also have someone to chase down as they are just two points behind 3rd placed Juventus, and would go ahead of them with a win here, no doubt piling on a little more pressure.
It's now six unbeaten for Bologna recently, but that has seen them win just three games and draw the other three. Just one more of those turning into a win would have given them a gap that would be close to being enough to secure the top four. And that could have been last weekend, Bologna drew 1-1 at home to Udinese, a side near the bottom, and one they should really have beaten.
Match PredictionA big chance for Bologna to lay down a marker early on in the weekend, and one I think they will take. I am backing Bologna here, I think they will get three points against a Torino side that have very little to play for.
