Swansea vs Rotherham Prediction (13.04.2024)

Rotherham United are playing for nothing other than pride, after they suffered relegation to League One last weekend. They travel away from home to face Swansea on Saturday, a team who also have nothing to play for, but are in the middle of the table, and looking to build up some chemistry and momentum ahead of next season.

When Swansea appointed Luke Williams are their boss part way through the season, they were in trouble but went for a long term solution. It's not been perfect, but they're slowly edging forward and I think we will see a completely different team next season, when he's had a summer to work with his players.

They come here on the back of a win in midweek, beating Stoke 3-0 at home, in quite impressive fashion. But before that, it was two defeats in a row, as they lost to Middlesbrough and QPR. We've seen enough from Swansea though to think they can end the season fairly well.

It's been a miserable season from start to finish for Rotherham, they're 42 games in and they have won just four all season, which has been hard to take for the team and their fans. With just 23 points, they're relegated with games to spare, and are set for a return to League One next season.

They come here on the back of two defeats. The most recent of those was a 2-0 loss away at West Brom in midweek, and last weekend, they lost 1-0 at home to Plymouth. A win did come in the game before that, they won 2-1 at home to Millwall, though it was a rare decent performance in an otherwise tough time.

I see no reason why Rotherham would do anything out of the ordinary here, especially away from home where they have really struggled. Swansea are slowly improving, and I fancy them to take three points in this one.
