West Ham vs Luton Prediction (11.05.2024)

We’re in the endgame now, ladies and gentlemen. The Premier League season is entering the final furlong with just a handful of games remaining for clubs up and down English football’s top tier. Whether it be the title race, the relegation battle or anything in between, there’s still a lot left to be determined. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming clash between West Ham United and Luton Town.

West Ham United have had another solid season and although they won’t be finishing it off with another piece of European silverware, David Moyes can be proud of the job he’s done. At this point, they need to focus their attention on the future and what could be in store for them. Either way, the Hammers are in a much better position than they were just a few years ago.

As West Ham continue to search for a replacement for the outgoing Moyes, the boys on the pitch don’t appear to be putting their best foot forward right now. Instead, they are floundering in a big way, and they even fell to a 5-0 battering at the hands of Chelsea last weekend.

Luton Town, by all accounts, have put up a really good fight in their first season in the Premier League. Rob Edwards can be proud of the job his squad have done - but unfortunately, if they want to stick around for a sophomore year, they need to put in some massive performances in the next few weeks. They’re good enough to do it, but the pressure is certainly rising.

Luton tried everything in their power to get the win at home to Everton last Friday night but for whatever reason, they just couldn’t secure that breakthrough moment. They did earn a point in a 1-1 draw but when they look back at the season, this may serve as a big missed opportunity.

West Ham’s season feels like it’s already come to an end but for Luton, they have a few major cup finals that lie ahead of them. We’re fascinated to see how they’re going to approach these games but either way, we expect a tense encounter here, with the result being under 2.5 goals scored.
