The Premier League is back with a full slate of exciting midweek fixtures for fans to sink their teeth into over the course of the next few days. As we enter the month of April, it’s clear to see that we’re getting into the nitty-gritty of the campaign with teams at both ends of the table still having a lot left to fight for. Today, we’ll take a look at the upcoming clash between Arsenal and Luton Town.
Arsenal Form GuideArsenal are still very much in the race for the Premier League title as they continue to battle it out with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table. Mikel Arteta knows how difficult it’s going to be for them to keep winning between now and the end of the campaign, but it certainly feels as if there’s something special in the air in North London right now.
After wins over Newcastle, Sheffield United and Brentford, Arsenal edged past Porto in the second leg of their Champions League tie with a dramatic penalty shootout victory. They went on to battle Manchester City, coming away with a point following a pretty dull 0-0 draw.
Luton Form GuideLuton Town fans are on cloud nine right now as they continue to enjoy life in the Premier League. When you put that alongside their success in the FA Cup, we’d say this is shaping up to be a pretty fun season for the Hatters. The priority, of course, is staying in the top flight, and we’d say they are looking good in that quest as we head into the final third of the season.
Despite not picking up a win in their last six games, Luton have been involved in some pretty incredible encounters. They picked up a point in draws with Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest to go alongside losses to Tottenham, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Manchester City - three of which were just one-goal deficits.
Match PredictionLuton, as we’ve seen from them on countless occasions, are more than capable of springing an upset - or coming pretty close, at least. We think they’re going to give the Gunners a really good run for their money in this one but ultimately, we’re still going to predict an Arsenal victory.
