Sheffield Utd vs Fulham Prediction (30.03.2024)

The Premier League returns this weekend following the international break as we continue with the run-in toward the end of the campaign. There’s still plenty left to fight for at both ends of the table, and it feels like we’re going to get a few more answers over the course of the next few days. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be an intriguing clash between Sheffield United and Fulham.

Sheffield United fans know that they are the favourites for the drop and in a lot of ways, it feels like they don’t have much to lose because of that. Chris Wilder will do everything in his power to keep them in the top flight but they need a big shift in momentum in the next couple of months. Whether or not they can make that change, though, remains to be seen, and it seems unlikely.

Following a nice 3-1 win over Luton, Sheffield United fell to three straight defeats against Brighton, Wolves and Arsenal. They did, however, pick up a decent point on the road to Bournemouth, but it probably should’ve been more.

It certainly seems as if Fulham are safe for yet another year in the Premier League, but questions will be asked about how much progress they’ve made and whether or not they’re underachieving after last season. The Cottagers will largely be happy with where the club are at, but they’ll still want a few more answers from the ownership about what the future holds.

Fulham put together two massive wins over Manchester United and Brighton but just a week later, they were defeated 2-1 by Wolves. From there, they played host to Tottenham, and they surprised the masses with a really emphatic 3-0 win over Ange’s men.

Fulham will know that United are desperate for a big result, and we don’t think they’re going to stretch themselves too far. It’s the kind of game they should be winning but they won’t necessarily be running away with it, and in terms of a prediction, we’re going to shoot for under 2.5 goals scored.
