Manchester City vs BSC Young Boys Prediction (07.11.2023)

The UEFA Champions League returns to our lives once again this week as we enter the second half of the group stage. At this point, all 32 clubs are well aware of what their objectives are as they prepare for the final three-game stretch. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what is bound to be an electric clash between Manchester City and Young Boys.

Manchester City, as we all know, are coming off the back of a treble-winning season. The aim is to try and repeat that achievement and so far, they’ve done an excellent job of leading people to believe that’s exactly what is going to happen. Pep Guardiola is a mastermind and within the club, you’d have to imagine the current feeling is that they’re untouchable in this competition.

After facing some early adversity, Manchester City were able to run out 3-1 winners over Young Boys in the reverse fixture a few weeks back.

CURRENT STANDING: 1st in Group G with 9 points.

After losing their crown in 2022, Young Boys came straight back the next year and recaptured the Swiss Super League title. Now, they find themselves in the Champions League group stage, which is a real statement of intent and a sign of just how far they’ve come. In the group they’ve been drawn into, we’d argue they shouldn’t have anything to fear, either.

Young Boys have proven their ability to do some damage in the final third if given the chance, but there are levels to this game - and they’re going to get a big reality check in that department. We don’t think this will be particularly close, with the final result being a big Manchester City win.
