Cremonese vs Atalanta Prediction (01.04.2023)

Serie A is back this weekend and we have four games on Saturday, the first of those is this clash between Cremonese and Atalanta.

Cremonese have played a little better recently, and started to pick up a few more points, but despite that, they are still bottom of the Serie A table and in need of a lift. They come into the weekend with 13 points on the board, the team to chase right now is Spezia and they have 24, so an 11 point gap between the two sides.

Before the international break, things were better, with a win, two draws and one defeat from their last five games. It's still an incredibly tough task, but at least the team are showing something. Their most recent game saw them draw 1-1 with Monza.

Atalanta have been through a bad patch recently, they went on a run of four games that saw them lose three and draw the other. But that appeared to have been solved in their final game before the international break, a game they won 2-1 at home to Empoli. Regrouped and back in club action now, the team will be looking to build on that win and pick up some more.

They come into the weekend with 45 points, that puts them in 6th position, so hanging onto Europe for now. However, they have Juventus chasing them from behind, and ahead of them, they are just three points of AC Milan in fourth, so there is plenty to play for as we hit the final games of the season.

While Cremonese need to get wins on the board to stay in Serie A, Atalanta need wins for European football, and its the latter named team, Atalanta, that are my pick to win this game. They have a little more class, appear to have got over their bad run, and can win this game on their return to action this Saturday.
