We’re in the endgame now, ladies and gentlemen. The Premier League season is entering the final furlong with just a handful of games remaining for clubs up and down English football’s top tier. Whether it be the title race, the relegation battle or anything in between, there’s still a lot left to be determined. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming clash between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth.
Wolves Form GuideWolverhampton Wanderers are looking really good right now and Gary O’Neil deserves a lot of plaudits for what he’s been able to do at the club. When he came in, they were seen as one of the favourites to go down - but at this point, their focus is on the top half as opposed to the bottom three. Their cup dreams may be over, but there’s still something to fight for in the league.
Wolves, to put it bluntly, have not performed well in their last six games. They did pick up a point in draws with Burnley and Nottingham Forest, but they also suffered losses to Coventry, Aston Villa, West Ham and, most recently, Arsenal.
Bournemouth Form GuideBournemouth enjoyed a purple patch a while back and many felt as if they were destined to push on to bigger and better things. In recent weeks, though, they’ve fallen back a bit, but they’re still far clear of the relegation picture. In the months ahead, it'll be interesting to see how they approach things given their position in the league, with a potentially massive summer window ahead.
After three straight wins over Luton, Everton and Crystal Palace, the Cherries were beaten in their reverse fixture against the Hatters. From there, they drew 2-2 at home to Manchester United, before being beaten 3-1 on the road by Aston Villa.
Match PredictionBournemouth have nothing to lose between now and the end of the season and in our view, they’re going to be dangerous to face regardless of who you are. The hosts, meanwhile, are slowly starting to get their big boys back - which is why we’re going to back a narrow Wolves win here.
