West Brom seem to be heading of the playoffs and will be looking to continue their good form for the final four games of the regular season. They host Sunderland on Saturday, a side who should have been playoff challengers alongside West Brom, but it's been a dreadful season for the side from the North East and they are in the bottom half of the table as we head into one of the final weekends of the year.
West Brom Form GuideI've been a fan of how West Brom have been playing all season, they've been incredibly consistent, picking up points on a regular basis and deserve to be in the playoffs. With a nine point cushion over the chasing pack, it's almost assured, but even when that comes, they'll want to keep up their form.
They come here on the back of a 10 game unbeaten run, with five wins and five draws in that period. Their most recent game in midweek was a win as they beat the already relegated Rotherham 2-0 at home. Before that, three draws in a row against Stoke, Watford and Millwall.
Sunderland Form GuideWhen Sunderland decided to not employ a full time manager after sacking Michael Beale, I was worried about the impression that would give to players, and we are now seeing the bad side of that. The owners are counting down the days until the summer, desperate for it to appear, and it seems the players are doing the same, which means it's not a good watch for the fans.
They have just one win from their last 11 games, with three draws and seven defeats in that period, including a run where they lost six in a row. It was a draw in midweek, a good point away at Leeds, although Sunderland were very lucky to come away from that game with anything, given how they played.
Match PredictionWest Brom are almost confirmed in the playoffs, and I fancy them to take another step closer with three points here. Sunderland are coasting towards the end of the season, and I think they suffer another defeat here.
