We've got some great Championship games this weekend, and this one where Watford host Wigan is one that will affect both ends of the table.
Watford Form GuideWatford have been disappointing on the whole this season, and although they are known for making managerial changes, having three different managers this season is still a surprise. The new man in is Chris Wilder, who lost his first game in charge, but came to life in midweek when we saw the kind of performance from Watford we are used to.
They won that game 3-0 against Birmingham and while their opponents are not playing too well right now, and the win was comfortable in the end, you cannot help but think that was a big moment. Going into the final part of the season, they are six points behind the playoffs, so have a chance of getting involved.
Wigan Form GuideAfter a really strong start to the season, Wigan quickly reverted to the kind of form they were expected to show us this season. They are now bottom of the league going into the weekend, have 33 points on the board, which puts them six away from safety, they really need to start putting wins together very quickly, if they want to get out.
During midweek, they were able to pick up a point in a 1-1 draw with Coventry. That was a good point, but wins are needed, not draws. Before that, they were comfortably beaten by league leaders Burnley, that game ended 3-0. It's the crucial time of the season, and Wigan need wins.
Match PredictionA big game at both ends of the table, and the two teams here would love to take three points, but it is Watford who we are backing to do that. They had a big win in midweek, that could be the spark they need to go on a late playoff push, so they are fancied to win, and give Wigan more relegation problems to think about.
