Sunderland are in action at home on Saturday, and I'm not sure they'll be looking forward to it too much. This is a team off the rails, without a permanent manager, completely lost in no mans land. They welcome QPR to the Stadium Of Light on Saturday, a team outside of the relegation zone at the moment, but in the thick of the battle.
Sunderland Form GuideThe decision to sack Tony Mowbray was a strange one, and it's been turned into a bad one by the failings of Michael Beale after him, leading Sunderland to a place where they're not employing a manager until the summer, just looking to see out the season, but I'm not sure that's the best look for the players or fans at the club.
On the pitch, it's been terrible, Sunderland come here on the back of six losses in a row. The most recent was a 4-2 loss at Southampton last weekend, before that, Leicester, Norwich, Swansea, Birmingham and Huddersfield have all beaten this team recently, much to the displeasure of their fans, who have been vocal about their unhappiness.
QPR Form GuideThe battle at the bottom is incredibly tight, and QPR are right in the middle of it. Two of the bottom three have 38 points, QPR have 39, and just three points separate seven teams, plus there's a few a little higher that are still not out of danger.
They lost last weekend, a 2-0 home defeat against Middlesbrough, but were in much better form before that. They went four unbeaten, with three wins and one draw in that period, and the best of them was a real shocker as they went away to the league leaders Leicester and won 2-1.
Match PredictionA big game for QPR, and one they'll fancy, given what is happening at Sunderland right now. They may not get the win, but I will take them on the double chance market here, to cover a QPR win or the draw.
