We are back in action in England after the international break, and there's a full book of fixtures from the Championshop on Friday afternoon. In this game, we've got implications at both the top and bottom of the table, with playoff chasing Norwich taking on relegation threatened Plymouth.
Norwich Form GuideThe playoff race is tight, and the team everyone is trying to catch is Norwich. They hold onto 6th, and have a handful of chasing them, realistically, three of them have playoff hopes in my opinion. But Norwich keep on playing well, they are three ahead of Hull, but all three sides chasing Norwich have a game in hand, which would bring them all a lot closer together.
Norwich have won three of their last four games, with a loss in the other, so do arrive here in good form. In their last game, before the international break, they won 3-0 away from home at Stoke. It was even bigger before that, a 5-0 home win over bottom club Rotherham, while their other win recently was a 1-0 home success over Sunderland.
Plymouth Form GuideFor the past few weeks, while I've been writing my Plymouth previews, I have been highlighting my concerns for them, and things haven't changed. They come into this game without a win from their last four games, and three of those have been defeats, including their most recent game before the international break.
That was a 1-0 home loss against Preston, a side chasing the playoffs. They've also lost to Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 and Ipswich 2-0. The one point they did take from recent games was a 1-1 away draw at Blackburn, but they did play against 10 men for most of the second half to help them in that.
Match PredictionI like Norwich and their chances to get in the playoffs, and think they will get the better of Plymouth here. The visitors are struggling, I think that may end up in relegation for them, so I'll take Norwich to win this one.
