The Premier League is back with a full set of weekend fixtures as we return to regularly scheduled programming to continue the month of February. There are so many things up in the air at both ends of the table but hopefully, in the weeks ahead, we’ll start to get a bit more clarity. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun clash between Luton Town and Sheffield United.
Luton Form GuideLuton Town fans are on cloud nine right now as they continue to enjoy life in the Premier League. When you put that alongside their success in the FA Cup, we’d say this is shaping up to be a pretty fun season for the Hatters. The priority, of course, is staying in the top flight, and we’d say they are looking good in that quest as we head into the second half of the season.
Luton are on fire right now and if you don’t believe us, go back and watch their visit to Tyneside. They took on Newcastle last weekend and in what proved to be an epic affair, they managed to leave with a 4-4 draw as their push for survival continues.
Sheffield United Form GuideSheffield United fans know that they are the favourites for the drop and in a lot of ways, it feels like they don’t have much to lose because of that. Chris Wilder will do everything in his power to keep them in the top flight but they need a big shift in momentum in the next couple of months. Whether or not they can make that change, though, remains to be seen.
United will have some winnable games this season but their home game against Aston Villa, in many ways, was never going to be that. They were beaten and battered to within an inch of their life, eventually slumping to a 5-0 defeat.
Match PredictionWhen you’ve got two sides battling it out in a relegation six-pointer, it’s really hard to know which way it’s going to swing. Luton are stronger and have momentum on their side, but the visitors are scrappy - which is why we’re going to predict a draw at Kenilworth Road.
