It’s time to get ready for the fourth round of the FA Cup as the oldest club competition in the world begins to really heat up. There are 32 teams left in the mix as we continue the road to Wembley, with many of them believing that they’re in with a real shot of making it all the way. Today, we’ll take a look at what should be a fun clash between Liverpool and Norwich City.
Liverpool Form GuideThe status quo has changed forever at Liverpool Football Club after Jurgen Klopp announced that he will leave the Reds at the end of the season. They’ve been on a phenomenal run under the German gaffer’s guidance, but the main priority between now and May will be focusing on the campaign ahead to ensure they give him the proper send-off from Anfield.
Despite being out-fought for long spells of their game against Arsenal in the third round, Liverpool were able to persevere. They defeated the Gunners 2-0, re-establishing themselves as one of the favourites in this year’s competition.
Norwich Form GuideNorwich City have become one of the most recognisable yo-yo teams in the country over the course of the last decade or so, but right now, they’re at real risk of slipping into midtable mediocrity in the Championship. They’re certainly still in the playoff hunt but with so many clubs also battling it out around them, it’s hard to know what the future holds for the boys from Norfolk.
The Canaries were given a bit of a scare in the third round as Bristol Rovers held them to a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road. In the replay, though, City almost needed to go 1-0 down in order to inspire a bit comeback as they eventually walked away with a 3-1 win.
Match PredictionThe atmosphere is going to be rocking at Anfield as fans get their first look at Klopp since he announced he’d be leaving at the end of the season. In terms of the game itself, this one feels like a formality, which is why we’re predicting a big Liverpool win.
