The Ligue 1 campaign is back underway following their winter break as every single club in the top flight attempts to get 2024 off to a great start. There’s still a whole lot to play for at both ends of the table and given what we know about this division, we should expect the unexpected. After losing 5-2 to PSG, Monaco beat Montpellier and Rennes before slipping to a surprise 1-0 defeat at the hands of Lyon. They bounced back with a victory over Toulouse, before edging past Lens on penalties following a 2-2 classic in the cup.
Reims Form GuideFollowing on from a top six finish a few years back, Reims have spent a lot of time lingering around mid-table. They have the ability to spring an upset from time to time but there’s still a lot of work that needs doing to the overall structure of the squad, although it must be said that Will Still has been able to have a really strong impact within the club and he deserves praise for his efforts.
Reims’ loss to Rennes was followed by a nice 2-1 win over Strasbourg, but two more losses were right around the corner as they were beaten by Nice and Lens. They did go on to beat Le Havre 1-0, before a comfortable 3-0 win over Dinan-Lehon in the cup.
Match PredictionReims are a pretty stubborn team at the best of times and we believe that’s going to be on full display when they make the trip to Monaco. We feel like this has the potential to be a really technical affair, and because of that, we’re going to predict under 2.5 goals scored.
