We are heading into the final few days of the Championship season and between three teams, it is all to play for at the top. Leeds head into the weekend in 2nd, and while they can't overtake leaders Leicester, they are the first to play, so can place down an early marker, and put pressure on The Foxes and Ipswich, the side in 3rd. Leeds travel away from home on Friday night to visit QPR, who aren't quite safe yet, but are edging towards it.
QPR Form GuideA couple of wins and a draw from their last five games has given QPR 50 points. It should be enough, and probably will be, but technically, they're not safe yet, sitting four points ahead of the relegation zone. They can wrap it up here, and even if they don't win, if results go their way on Saturday, they will be confirmed as safe anyway.
They come here on the back of a big three points last weekend, winning at home against Preston 1-0. It wasn't pretty, or particularly impressive, but QPR found a way to win. Before that, they lost 3-0 away at Hull and drew 1-1 away at Plymouth, so it's not all been perfect, but QPR continue to edge closer to survival.
Leeds Form GuideThose at the top of the Championship, Leeds included, have been suffering a little recently from stage fright, but this past week, quality seems to have come back again, and that includes for Leeds. After three without a win, they finally bagged an important, big win, and will come here looking to build on that.
They won 4-3 away from home on Monday night against Middlesbrough. Yes you can pull holes in the defensive display by Leeds, but have to give them credit for digging deep, especially after some poor games recently. Blackburn and Coventry have both beaten Leeds, while they've drawn with Sunderland, so it's not been great.
Match PredictionA massive game for Leeds, and I think they can build on their win on Monday night and pick up another here. QPR also have something to play for, but I think they'll be safe without winning this, it's a Leeds win for me.
