For sides at the bottom of the Championship, three games remain to pick up points and stay in the division. Huddersfield begin the weekend inside the relegation zone, with 44 points on the board. But they've got Birmingham just one ahead, and another two clubs three ahead, so plenty to chase, but they have to make games like this one count. They are at home on Saturday, with Swansea the visitors to the John Smith's Stadium.
Huddersfield Form GuideJust one loss in their last four, Huddersfield are giving it a good go. They've drawn two, with one win, and while two wins would have put them in a great position, it's still my opinion that they will find a way out and survive this season, though this is a massive game in that quest.
Last weekend, they picked up a point in a 1-1 tie away at Bristol City, a good point on the road. They lost to Preston before that, but in their last home game, won 1-0 at home to Millwall thanks to a late winner. Their next two games are at home, including this, and you feel they have to make them count, with an away trip to Ipswich on the final day.
Swansea Form GuideIt's been a slow burn, but Swansea have improved since the arrival of Luke Williams as manager. He's taken time to adjust, and work out a style that suits both him and the players, but I think we are there, and after making sure they were safe this season, it was all about pre-planning for next season.
They come here on the back of two wins in a row, both at home, where they've beaten Rotherham 1-0 and Stoke 3-0. In their last away game, they lost 2-0 at Middlesbrough. Although with nothing to play for, I think Swansea are a dangerous opponent right now, though do seem to be much better at home compared to away.
Match PredictionI respect Swansea, but I think this is a win for Huddersfield here, and a huge step towards them claiming safety and another season in the Championship, I'll take the home side to win this.
