The Championship is back this weekend and we've got 10 of the 12 games taking place on Saturday. One of those features QPR, a team currently in the relegation zone, and they are hosting Millwall, a team who were close to the drop zone recently, but have since managed to pull themselves clear.
QPR Form GuideIt's been a dreadful season for QPR so far, and to be honest, I expected it. They've won just five games from 27, are sitting in 23rd coming into the weekend, and are five points away from safety. They've not won in their last eight games now, in all competitions, and that includes a loss 2-0 away at Millwall, the visitors here.
Most recently, QPR lost 2-1 at home to Watford, and before that, they lost 3-2 in the FA Cup at home to Premier League side Bournemouth. Their game before that was a 2-1 loss at home to Cardiff, so three home games, all lost, and now they play a fourth.
Millwall Form GuideI've been impressed with how Millwall have found their groove and moved away from the relegation zone over the past few weeks. They're in 16th position on 32 points, that puts them 10 clear of trouble, and there's a lot of teams in between them and that, and it's mainly thanks to a good recent run.
They lost their last game, a 3-1 defeat away at Middlesbrough, but won three league games in a row before that. It all kicked off with a win over QPR and they followed it up with a 1-0 home win over Norwich and a 1-0 away win over Bristol City. It's not always been pretty, but it has been effective.
Match PredictionI think Millwall are really good value for the away win here. They've beaten QPR recently, had a strong run that's taken them out of danger, and face a side without a win from their last eight games in all competitions, so it's Millwall to win it for me.
