It's tight at the top of the Championship table, and all three teams in contention for automatic promotion failed to win in midweek, which all will see as a missed opportunity. In their bid to get back on track at the weekend, Leeds welcome Blackburn Rovers to Elland Road, who themselves needs points for their task of staying up at the bottom of the table.
Leeds Form GuideLeeds will be kicking themselves with what happened in midweek. They drew 0-0 at home to Sunderland, a team going through a terrible period, and had Leeds won that game, they would have come here sitting at the top of the division. Instead, they're third, a point behind both Leicester and Ipswich, but with Leicester playing on Friday night, that could be four.
As mentioned, Leeds got a point in midweek, and last weekend they took nothing as they lost 2-1 away at Coventry. That was always going to be a tough game, but ultimately, Leeds have recorded five points from their last four games, a run nowhere near good enough for anyone who wants promotion.
Blackburn Form GuideBlackburn begin the weekend three points clear of Sheffield Wednesday and four clear of Birmingham, the two teams in the relegation zone with it all to play for. I do think they will be ok this season, there's four games to go and they've shown the ability to get points on the board, taking some in three of their last five.
They do come here on the back of a loss in midweek though, losing 5-0 away at Bristol City, which was a really surprising result given how Blackburn had been playing. Before that, last weekend they picked up a point in a 0-0 home draw with Southampton, a good point to take.
Match PredictionThey struggled in midweek but I have to side with Leeds here. They should have far too much quality for Blackburn, so I'll take the Yorkshire side to get back on track with a win here.
