On Thursday night, Slavia Prague and Milan go head-to-head at San Siro in the Europa League last-16 second leg.
The first leg in Milan ended 4-2 in favour of the Rossoneri, so the in-form Italian team are favourites to qualify for the last eight of the competition.
Slavia ended their winless run at the weekendThe Czech team ended a short three-game winless run in style at the weekend by recording a 4-0 home victory over Teplice.
The game continued a run of high-scoring games for the club from the Czechia capital, as five of their previous six games have now produced over 2.5 goals.
The first-leg defeat ended Slavia's three-game winning streak in the Europa League, but they did continue with a prolific scoring trend. They have now scored at least two goals in their last four games in the competition.
Slavia has a formidable recent home record in the Europa League. Jindich Trpisovsky’s team has won its last five games on home soil without conceding a goal.
Milan have found form at the right timeThe Rossoneri is hitting form at just the right time this season. A weekend 1-0 home win over Empoli means that the Rossoneri are now unbeaten in four games in all competitions, having recorded three straight victories.
Milan hasn’t played many games in the Europa League this season, having dropped down into the Europa League from the Champions League.
However, their recent history in the competition is inconsistent, as they have won just two of their last seven games. Milan has also won just one of their previous seven matches on their travels in the Europa League.
Milan’s three Europa League games this season have been goal-filled, though, with all of them producing over 2.5 goals.
What am I backing?Slavia are strong on home soil, but I am not sure they will have enough quality to beat their Italian visitors. I do expect goals, though, so the bet I am backing is over 2.5 goals scored.
