Houssem Aouar wants to join the Gunners
Many good players stood out in the previous season. One of them is Lyon’s superstar Houssem Aouar. Needless to say, many of the biggest clubs in the world started to be interested in this player. One of those teams is Arsenal, and the club even decided to offer a contract to the young player.
Supposedly, he agreed with it, but it seems like Arsenal hasn’t negotiated the price that they need to pay yet.
Chambers might be on the move
Calum Chambers is one of the players that everyone wants to have in his team. He had a pretty good season, which is why there are a few teams that are really interested in him. After reading several reports, it seems like Arsenal is keen on selling the player, but we are yet to see if someone can match the asking price of £12,000,000.One of the favourites for the signature of the player is Newcastle. However, the team prefers to bring over Chambers on loan, rather than to pay the asking price.
It seems like Maitland-Niles will stay
There were rumours that Wolves will try to bring over Ainsley Maitland-Niles to their squad. This player had a pretty good season in Arsenal, which is why it was expected for some clubs to be interested in him.
Nevertheless, it seems like the transfer won’t happen because Wolves are really close to signing Nelson Semedo. If they bring over Barcelona’s player, it’s highly unlikely they’ll go for Maitland-Niles.
Mikel Arteta is interested in Michael Olise
Arsenal is famous for its interest in young and talented players. Even though Wenger is no longer in charge of the team, Mikel Arteta is also interested in bringing over a really promising player called Michael Olise.
Despite being just 18 years old, Reading’s player seems to be in really good form right now. However, bringing the player to Emirates won’t be easy because Arsenal has to compete against other teams, such as Leeds.
Thiago nearly joined Arsenal, but it didn’t happen
Many of Arsenal’s fans expected the team to bring over Thiago. However, the player decided to sign a contract with Liverpool instead. Some fans thought that Arsenal couldn’t meet his requirements. Still, it turns out that Arteta chose to get Houssem Aouar from Lyon, rather than Thiago.
One of the main reasons for this decision is Thiago’s age. He is 29 years old, whereas Aouar is just 22.
The battle for Georgino Rutter
There are many outstanding young football players around the world, and one of them is Georgino Rutter. Both Arsenal and Newcastle are trying to bring over Rennes’ player because he has just one year left from his contract.
However, it won’t be easy to bring this player on board because Arsenal also has to compete against AC Milan, Lyon, as well as a few more big clubs.
