Japan Arrested Someone Following an Online Casino Advertising Platform
Japan is one of the several countries in Asia that does not allow online casinos of any kind. The laws have been in place for a while now and the police recently arrested two people on the accusation that they’ve used a website to promote and profit from an overseas online casino. Based on the investigation, these people directed local players.
The police in Japan said that the two people used a website to promote these illegal casinos between 2020 and 2021. During that time, they received commissions from a Curacao-based online casino. In other words, the defendants had an affiliate contract with the given site.
The statistics show that more than 670 people have used this site and transferred a total of 70 Billion Yen in cryptocurrency into the casino’s account. The site that the two people were using had different tutorials and included various “winning strategies”. In addition to all that, these individuals had a special Discord grou. This is where they would charge users a monthly fee for access to additional betting tips.
The authorities think that an Indian national is the main person behind all of this. We will have to wait until everything is over to see if this is really the case.
Evolution Launched Sneaky Slot

Evolution is a major player in the world of online casinos, as it is behind some of the best live games. The company will expand its portfolio of options with the launch of Sneaky Slots. This is a new online slot studio that will join Evolution’s ever-growing list of companies like Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, Red Tiger and Nolimit City.
The idea of Sneaky Slot is to appeal to both newcomers and experienced online casino enthusiasts. Some of the slots this new company will offer will “borrow” certain mechanics from Nolimit City, such as the xBomb. According to the news, Sneaky Slot should release at least one new game each month.
Denmark Reported a 12.9% Increase in Gambling Expenditure in July
Although we are already in October, Denmark has finally released some interesting statistics about the country’s gambling industry for July. Based on these stats, the people there spent around $99.16M on gambling, which is an impressive 12.9% increase compared to June.
Slots seem to be decreasing in popularity because people spent 2.2% less on them than before. Interestingly, land-based casinos marked an impressive 13.8% increase, whereas bookies had a 6% growth. Online casinos, on the other hand, experienced the largest growth, with an increase of over 20%.
In terms of how people placed their bets, more than 71.86% came from mobile phones, whereas just 17.61% used computers. Interestingly, around 10.54% of people actually placed bets using land-based shops.
The UK Investigates Skin Gambling

Skin gambling is not new because people have been using skins and other options to place bets with for years. The industry has become too big in the UK because the country’s Department of Culture, Media and Sport decided to investigate the situation. They believe these practices are similar to loot boxes, something that has been banned in many countries.
Due to how the skin gambling system works, most people participating in it are relatively anonymous. The sites do not have any KYC practices and do not follow any rules. This could encourage problem gambling, especially among younger people.
It will be very interesting to see what emerges from all of this, but we expect to see new regulations. The UK has one of the most complex gambling laws, and it is a matter of time before it also takes action against these sites.
The Gaming Revenue in Nevada is Up by 5.5% in August
Nevada is among the most famous places on Earth when it comes to gambling. The statistics from the state’s Gaming Control Board revealed that it generated revenue of $1.23 billion in August, which is a 5.5% increase from last year. It seems like the increase is based on baccarat and the increase in mobile sports betting.
If we delve deeper into the statistics, we will see that table and card games have a combined revenue of $411.8 million, representing a 12.6% increase. Baccarat, on the other hand, has a $116.2 million, which is a 52.6% increase from last year. It seems like a lot of high rollers decided to give it a try.
Moving on to sports betting, it saw a 68.1% increase and reached $42 million. A notable fact here is that mobile betting doubled in size, reaching $29.4M.

An interesting fact about 1xBet is that the brand became the official betting partner of the European Cricket Network. It also had partnership deals with Serie A, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona.
The Authorities in New Zealand Fined Influencers and a Casino Operator
Just a few days ago, the authorities in New Zealand fined a total of 4 influencers, as well as an offshore casino platform. The fines were around NZ$125,000 and came following illegal gambling advertising.
Tyuhira Wana, Billy Whaanga, and Calen Morris were the three influencers in question, and they received fines ranging from NZ$15,000 to NZ$20,000. As for the operator, Spinbet got aa NZ$60,000 fine because it breached 12 different rules.
Outside of the fine, the NZ authorities have warned the influencers that they are at risk of losing their social media profiles. They will have to wait until 2026, which is when the country will introduce the new gambling laws. They will allow a total of 15 casino licenses.
Diego Lopes, the UFC Star, becomes Aviator’s Newest Brand Ambassador
Aviator decided to expand its list of ambassadors by adding another new name from the UFC – Diego Lopes. The Brazilian featherweight MMA player will be in a 12-month partnership and will take part in different marketing campaigns.

KSA Fined Three Influencers For Videos Promoting Betting with Illegal Providers
The Dutch gaming regulator has been in the news frequently lately, and the most recent update is from a few days ago. The KSA decided to fine three influencers because they’ve posted videos to social media where players used illegal providers. The three people in question are Turcos, Stiefunspeelt and Buurtwachtt.
Based on the information, the three also encouraged other players to use these platforms. Another interesting fact is that this was not the first offense for either.
After it became clear what the three had done, the Dutch authorities gave them 48 hours to remove the content. If they release something similar, the influencers could face a fine of up to 75,000 EUR.
One of the reasons fines are so high is KSA’s ongoing campaign against illegal gambling. The recent stats for July reveal that 93% of players only used legal providers, so the commission still has some work to do.
Turkey Blocked 30 Social Media Accounts due to Illegal Gambling
Turkey is one of the few countries in its part of the world that does not allow pretty much any form of gambling. Consequently, most people were not surprised that the Turkish Advertising Board has reported that it blocked 30 social media accounts. This decision comes after it became clear that these pages were promoting illegal gambling.
Casino gambling has been banned in Turkey for nearly 20 years, as the first ban was implemented in 1998. Despite that, there are many different illegal gambling syndicates within the country. Local authorities are doing what they can to deal with them but it’s not easy.
NetBet Partnered with NoLimit City
NetBet, a prominent brand in the UK, has partnered with Nolimit City and integrated the provider’s games into its portfolio. Following this deal, UK clients who use this operator will have access to games like Hole 3 and Mental 2, two of NoLimit City’s most popular titles.
In addition to NoLimit City, NetBet also partnered with companies like Blueprint Gaming, Push Gaming, Amusnet, Eeze, Reevo and Fight Disciplines. Not all of these deals target the UK specifically, but they prove that this brand is looking to improve.
