Mistakes can happen while betting online. Luckily, bet365 has a feature to edit wagers. This is my guide on how to cancel a bet on bet365.

Is There an Option to Cancel a Bet on Bet365?

Short answer – no, bets can’t be cancelled on bet365. Everyone has been in a situation where they wish they could change or cancel a bet after placing it, including myself. It happens to the best of us, whether betting on the wrong team or picking the wrong betting market.

Sometimes, the reasons are unexpected lineup changes, last-minute injuries, and other unlucky situations. When this happened, I wondered if there was an option to cancel a bet on bet365.

Unfortunately, I found no option for how to cancel a bet on bet365. However, I discovered a few other solutions that may be helpful, especially the bet365 bet editing feature.

How to Edit Bets on Bet365?

Even though it’s impossible to cancel bets placed on bet365 Sports, I realised that they can be edited. The sportsbook offers a tool to edit single and multiple bets quickly. There are a few possibilities when editing them: either add new bets, remove selections, chance bet type or swap selections. It even works with in-play bets.

However, there are some things to keep in mind when editing bets.

  • Firstly, odds will likely have changed from when the bet was placed to when it’s edited.
  • After confirming the edits, the odds and potential payouts will be updated to match their current value.
  • Also, I noticed that odds can change while the bet is being edited.

These are the steps I followed to edit a bet on bet365:

  1. I go to “My Bets”.
  2. Then, click “Cash Out” and select the “Edit Bet” option.
  3. I Edit the bet.
  4. The cash-out value will become the stake for the new bet.
  5. Finally, I click “Save Changes” and “Confirm”.

Note that for types of bets such as banker bet on bet365, the Edit bet function may be harder to use, so always remember what you want to edit.

How to Cash Out at Bet365?

Cash-out is one of my favourite features at bet365. There are three ways to cash out a bet, and I will explain them here.

  • I click the cash out button in the bet slip to get back the current value of the stake concerning the possible outcome of the bet.
  • For partial cash out, I activate the cash out slider by clicking the icon next to the cash out button. Select partial cash out and move the slider to get a part of the cashback returned while the remaining money becomes the new wager.
  • And the last option – I can set a value for auto cash out. As soon as the cash-out value is reached, the bet will be settled.

Why can’t you cash out on bet365?

You may not be able to use bet365 cash out because the odds for the markets in your bet are being blocked. This is due to an important event in the match that causes the odds to be restricted. For example, a goal scored, a red card or a penalty given in a football match may reflect the odds changed, and from there – the cash out is not available.

Avoid Future Betting Mistakes

As much as I like the bet editor, it’s better to avoid future betting mistakes altogether since it’s impossible to cancel bets at bet365. Here are a few helpful tips to prevent making mistakes with football bets.

Research

I recommend taking time to research and analyse the game, past games, current form, and other criteria that may influence the outcome of the bet. Always check the stats and read the news to be aware of any injuries and changes in the starting eleven.

Set a bankroll

The number one rule in online betting is to “never bet more than you can afford to lose”. Before placing any bets, I set a bankroll of what I can afford to bet, set limits, and never chase losses with more bets.

Double-check the bet slip

There’s no need to rush through the bet slip, especially since there’s no way to cancel a bet on bet365. I have caught myself making mistakes, so I take a few moments to double-check my bet slip before clicking to place the wager.
