We are edging closer and closer to the end of the Premier League season and things are really starting to heat up at both ends of the table. There are so many things still up in the air and between now and the end of May, we expect to see a whole lot of surprises. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a really intriguing encounter between Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Nottingham Forest Form GuideWith their points deduction now confirmed, Nottingham Forest need to focus their attention on survival. Nuno Espirito Santo certainly has plenty of reasons to feel confident given the squad he has at his disposal, but at this point in the campaign, there are so many uncertainties in the air. Hopefully for their sake, they’re able to put up a real fight between now and the end of May.
After losses to Liverpool and Brighton, Forest picked up a point in 1-1 draws with Luton and Crystal Palace. They got back on the winning trail with a 3-1 triumph over Fulham, but away to Tottenham, they slipped to a 3-1 defeat.
Wolves Form GuideWolverhampton Wanderers are looking really good right now and Gary O’Neil deserves a lot of plaudits for what he’s been able to do at the club. When he came in, they were seen as one of the favourites to go down - but at this point, their focus is on the top half as opposed to the bottom three. Their cup dreams may be over, but there’s still something to fight for in the league.
Across their last six games, Wolves have only picked up one win, a 2-1 success over Fulham. They alos picked up a point against Burnley to run alongside four disappointing losses at the hands of Newcastle, Coventry, Aston Villa and West Ham.
Match PredictionForest and Wolves are in very different positions right now. Wolves fans are largely waiting for the season to come to an end, whereas Forest are desperate to build up as many points as they can before the financial hammer comes down. In our view, the most likely outcome is a draw.
