The Serie A weekend is extended for another day this week, as we have two games taking place on Monday evening. In the first kick off, Roma are the home side and they take on Torino, a team who are in mid table, but perhaps not quite at their best at the moment, as they've struggled in recent weeks.
Roma Form GuideSince the departure of Jose Mourinho, I think we've seen a much better version of Roma, and they're right in the mix for the top six as a minimum, and further forward, the top four. They've won four of their last five, got crucial points on the board, and are continuing to head in the right direction.
A win last weekend saw them beat Frosinone 3-0 away from home and either side of that, they played in Europe against Feyenoord, with both games ending 1-1. That meant the game on Thursday went to penalties, with Roma coming out on top 4-2, to get through to the next round.
Torino Form GuideTorino are mid table as we head into the weekend, but I'm not sure they've been anywhere near their best recently. They have won just one of their last four games, and while they've only lost one, with two draws in that period, I think they'll see some of those games as dropped points.
Torino come here on the back of a 2-0 loss to Lazio, one that was at home and a disappointing result. Before that, they won 2-0 at home to Lecce which was good, but draws away at Sassuolo and at home to Salernitana, both in the relegation battle, will feel like poor results, even though two points came from those games.
Match PredictionRoma have gone from strength to strength and improved for their managerial change, so I'll take them to win this game. With Torino slightly struggling at the moment, I think the three points will go to the home side here.
