The Premier League is back in our lives once again following the last two-week international break of the year. Over the course of the next month and a half, football fans are preparing for a barrage of fixtures coming our way from English football’s top flight as the Christmas period awaits. Today, we’ll be taking a look at a fun clash between Luton Town and Crystal Palace.
Luton Form GuideLuton Town are in the Premier League and that still feels somewhat strange to say. The Hatters have scratched and clawed to get back to the top after being in the National League not so long ago. As we know, though, the overwhelming expectation is that they’ll head straight back down, which is why they’ll probably be feeling as if they don’t really have much to lose between now and May.
After losses to Burnley and Tottenham, Luton fought hard for a 2-2 draw away to Nottingham Forest. Since then, they’ve lost narrowly to Aston Villa and Manchester United to run alongside a pleasantly surprising 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
Crystal Palace Form GuideCrystal Palace continue to serve as a team that are tough to predict from top to bottom. Many fans aren’t happy that Roy Hodgson is once again at the helm, but in equal measure, the Eagles know that there are many other teams worse off than them in the Premier League. It’s a tricky road to navigate down, but either way, they’re still fun to watch when playing at their best.
After defeating Manchester United, Palace drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest before disappointing losses to Newcastle and Tottenham. They did manage to defeat Burnley on the road, before slipping to a 3-2 loss against Everton.
Match PredictionThe key for Luton is, for now, picking up the odd point here and there to ensure they maintain confidence heading into such a busy period. Palace, meanwhile, feel like a team that could struggle to get going at Kenilworth Road, which is why we’re going to back a draw.
