The festive period continues as we approach the final few days of 2023. The Premier League has never been more exciting as all 20 clubs prepare for a big push into the new year. There are plenty of fixtures to work through this week and today, we’re going to take a look at what should be a pretty interesting clash between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
Wolves Form GuideFollowing a questionable start, many were wondering whether or not the hiring of Gary O’Neil would prove to be a mistake for Wolves - but as we get ready for the winter run-in, it’s safe to say that he’s won a lot of people over. The club appears to be in good hands once again and although there’s still plenty of work to be done, there is certainly cause for optimism in the Black Country.
Following a 2-1 loss to Arsenal, Wolves rebounded with a 1-0 win over Burnley. After a 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest, they were humbled in a 3-0 loss to West Ham - but their London luck turned around in emphatic wins over Chelsea and Brentford.
Everton Form GuideEverton have been handed a ten-point deduction and while some fans may feel like that isn’t particularly fair, there’s no time for complaints or excuses. The Toffees know that they’ll have to work incredibly hard if they’re going to fend off the threat of relegation and although their recent performances on the pitch have been promising, there’s still a long way to go this season.
After big wins over Newcastle, Chelsea and Burnley, Everton fell to a loss against Fulham on penalties in the League Cup. They proceeded to face really tough opposition in the form of Tottenham and Manchester City, coming up short in both games.
Match PredictionWolves and Everton are both sides that have made drastic improvements over the course of the last few weeks and months and with that, in our view, comes a game that has the potential to be electric. In terms of an official prediction, we’re going to say over 2.5 goals will be scored.
