Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion will collide in Yorkshire this weekend as the Premier League returns for a full slate of fixtures.
Leeds Form GuideFollowing the dismissal of Jesse Marsch, Leeds United seem to be slowly but surely regaining their identity. Whether or not it’ll be enough to ensure their safety in the Premier League is another matter, but at the very least, they’re going to go down swinging - and they’ll be doing so with the kind of squad that can beat anyone on their best day.
They may have beaten Southampton and picked up a 2-2 draw with Manchester United since the start of February, but Leeds haven’t had much to show for their efforts outside of that. They lost to United in the rematch to run alongside defeats to Everton, Fulham and Chelsea.
Brighton Form GuideIt’s been a season of dreams for Brighton & Hove Albion and it’s far from over. The biggest question of all for the club now is whether or not they can sustain the momentum they’ve built for themselves down the stretch, especially against teams who are used to being in positions such as these. Either way, though, they can be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved.
Brighton’s one and only loss since the end of January was a tight 1-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham. They’ve also been held to a 1-1 draw by rivals Crystal Palace, littered in with a handful of big wins over Liverpool, Bournemouth, Stoke and West Ham.
Latest Team NewsWhile Rodrigo, Dallas and Forshaw are all confirmed to be out through injury, Cooper, Bamford and Sinisterra all hope to be fit in time for the game.
Lamptey and Colwill are doubtful to feature in this one with Lallana and Moder confirmed as injury absentees.
Match PredictionLeeds are slowly but surely starting to get back to the gung-ho style we all know and love them for, whereas Brighton are easily one of the most exciting teams to watch in the league. When you piece that together, we think it’ll end up in a thrilling encounter with over 2.5 goals scored.
