It's the final weekend before Christmas, and Norwich aim to make it five games unbeaten as they play Huddersfield this weekend at home, a side who are down the bottom of the table, just above the relegation zone, but with teams below them who are improving and trying to force their way out.
Norwich Form GuideI've been happy with what Norwich have done so far this season, they're not too far out of the playoffs, down in 10th they are five points behind Hull, who are currently in 6th. They've won two and drawn two of their last four, and continue to score well, with 39 goals from 22 games, only the top two in the league, Leicester and Ipswich, have more goals at this stage.
They arrive on the back of a draw last weekend, though it was a good one, in a local derby away at Ipswich, who are 2nd in the league, they drew that game 2-22 to take a valuable point. Before that, they won 3-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday, and looked in complete control of that game throughout.
Huddersfield Form GuideDown in 21st position, just one place above the relegation zone, it's been poor from Huddersfield so far, but at the moment at least, they're safe. However, behind them, the likes of QPR and Sheffield Wednesday are improving, heading into the weekend, Huddersfield are just two points above QPR.
They have failed to win any of their last four games, and a boost of three points would be really welcome right now. But in those last four games, they have managed three draws, to keep points going on the board. In their most recent game last weekend, they went away to Millwall and drew 1-1.
Match PredictionI am going to side with Norwich here. Huddersfield are becoming tougher to beat, and getting draws from games, but I think Norwich will have too much quality and firepower here, so I am with the home win.
