In Saturday’s late kick-off in the Bundesliga, reigning champions Bayern Munich hosts Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich form guideThe reigning champions were held to their second straight 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga by Koln last time out. The draw means that Julian Nagelsmann’s team is now ten games unbeaten in the German top flight.
However, the two draws have allowed the teams below the champions to make up ground, as second-place Union Berlin are now just two points behind the Bavarians in the race for the German title.
Bayern are unbeaten in 15 home matches in the Bundesliga. The draw against Koln ended a four-game winning home run for the champions on home soil.
One reason for Bayern’s stellar recent home record in the Bundesliga is their sheer attacking power, as Nagelsmann’s team has now scored at least two goals in eight of their last ten home games in the league.
Eintracht Frankfurt home guideThe Eagles have soared of late in the Bundesliga, as they head to Bavaria unbeaten in their last five matches in the German top flight, having also won five of their previous eight league games. The run has moved them up to fourth place in the Bundesliga table.
Frankfurt’s recent games have certainly brought entertainment when it comes to goals scored, as seven of their last nine Bundesliga matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
Oliver Glasner’s team is currently unbeaten in four away games in the German top flight, having also suffered just one defeat in nine matches on their travels.
Latest team newsBayern Munich looks set to be without Noussair Mazraoui, Sadio Mane, Manuel Neuer and Lucas Hernandez through various injuries.
Eintracht Frankfurt are expected to be without Marcel Wenig, Luca Pellegrini, Junior Dina Ebimbe, and Kevin Trapp through injuries and illness.
What am I backing?Bayern are favourites to win this game, and the champions will probably come out on top. However, the bet I am backing is over 2.5 goals, as wherever these teams play, there seem to be goals.
