In their bid to get back in the race for a Champions League spot in Serie A, Roma travel to face Spezia on Sunday

Despite being down in 15th position in the league, Spezia are playing well at the moment and picking up points. They are unbeaten in five games, with three draws and two victories from that period, a run that has seen them move well clear of the relegation zone.

Most recently, they picked up a great 1-0 win away at Torino last weekend, and before that, picked up a point in draws against Lecce and Atalanta.

Drawn games in recent weeks have seen Roma slip away from the top four race, and they will be looking to get that back on track with a win here. Still in contention, they are seventh going into the weekend and just four points behind second place, showing how tight things are.

Roma have won two and drawn three of their last five Serie A games, but in recent weeks, they have been a lot better. They won last weekend against Fiorentina 2-0, and before that, picked up a great point away at AC Milan.

For Spezia, Daniele Verde is back but given their recent form, may elect to keep him on the bench, rather than going into the starting eleven.

Roma have Roger Ibanez back from suspension, though he may also have to settle for the bench given their good win last weekend.
