In the early hours of Tuesday, Boca Juniors will look to build on a recent improvement in form when they host Huracan in the Argentinian Primera Division.
Boca Juniors form guideThe team from the capital is not enjoying a great campaign in the Primera Division, as they currently sit in 11th place in the Argentinian top-flight table. However, Boca has shown improvement of late, as a goalless draw at Union last time out means that the home team is unbeaten in three matches in all competitions.
The recent improvement in results has largely been down to some superb defensive displays, as Boca Juniors have now kept three straight clean sheets in their unbeaten run.
Boca Juniors also have an excellent home record in the Primera Division, as they are unbeaten in five home league games on home soil, having recorded four wins and a draw. They have also conceded just one goal in their last four home matches in the league.
Huracan form guideThe visitors have endured a nightmare campaign in the Argentinian top flight, 27th place in the table, only a point above rock-bottom Arsenal Sarandi.
Considering their current position in the table, it’s unsurprising that Huracan’s recent league form has been poor, as they have failed to win any of their last 13 matches in all competitions. A 1-0 home defeat against Atletico Tucuman last time out was their seventh defeat in their previous eight games.
A lack of goals has been Huracan’s main issue of late, as the visitors have scored just once in their previous eight games in all competitions.
Huracan is winless in their last 11 away games in the Primera Division, having picked up just three draws and suffered eight defeats.
What am I backing? There are signs of recovery at Boca Juniors, while Huracan has struggled for results in recent months. The bet I am backing is the home win.
