Arsenal will continue their title push as they prepare to host Leeds United in the Premier League this weekend.
Arsenal Form GuideIt’s been called the season of dreams and it’s hard to get away from that fact for Arsenal Football Club. Sure, they may only be competing on one front, but it’s a big one. This is the first time in a long time that the Gunners have been the frontrunners in the hunt for the championship, and Mikel Arteta knows better than anyone how badly these fans want to get over the finish line.
The big disappointment for Arsenal fans in recent weeks came in the Europa League. Across two legs against Sporting Lisbon, they played out a 3-3 aggregate draw before going out on penalties. The good news, though, is that in the month of March, they beat Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham and Crystal Palace in the league.
Leeds Form GuideIn the absence of Jesse Marsch as manager, Leeds United have done a pretty good job of trying to turn their season around. Things haven’t always been the smoothest for the boys from Yorkshire but through their tough times, they’ve still been able to produce some exciting football. Now, they need to put their foot down and take advantage of the momentum they’ve been building.
After a 1-0 loss to Everton, Leeds bounced back with a nice 1-0 win over Southampton. They did go on to lose back to back games in London against Chelsea and Fulham, but a draw with Brighton followed by a huge win over Wolves got them right back on track.
Latest Team NewsElneny, Nketiah, Tomiyasu and Saliba are all currently on the shelf through injury with Tierney and Partey being listed as fitness doubts.
Wober and Gnonto after fighting to get back to 100% whereas Adams, Forshaw and Dallas have all been ruled out through injury.
Match PredictionThere’s certainly reason to believe Leeds are going to be live underdogs here, especially given their recent form. We expect them to head to the Emirates with the feeling that they have very little to lose, and it’ll show on the pitch. Eventually, though, the gulf in quality will take over, with Arsenal securing a narrow win.
